Types of Massages:
Swedish Massage: a smooth, flowing style that promotes general relaxation, improves circulation and and relieves muscular tension.
Aromatherapy Massage: combining the therapeutic properties of essential oils with specific massage techniques to promote health and well-being.
Deep Tissue: focuses on the deeper layer of muscle tissue, often combined with swedish strokes to create a unified and balanced session. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fibers of the muscle, tendon, and fascia designed to release adhesions "knots".
Sports Massage: typically used before, during, and after athletic events. This massage is to prepare the athlete for peak performance, to drain away fatigue , to reduce swelling, to reduce muscle tension, to promote flexibility and to prevent injuries.
Active Isolated Stretching: one of the methods of stretching most used by today's athletes. Allows the body to repair itself and also prepare for daily activity. This technique involves the method of holding each stretch for only 2 seconds. This method of stretching is also known to work with the body's natural physiological makeup to improve circulation and increase its elasticity of muscle joints and fascia.

Medical-Orthopedic Massage: specialized approach to therapy aimed at reducing pain, realigning scar tissue and helping recover range of motion. While othopedic massage therapy is generally used to help heal soft-tissue injuries, many athletes and dancers receive othopedic massage regularly to enhance performance. This can be combined with swedish and deep tissue massage.
Trigger Point Therapy: is a modality that focuses on the source of chronic pain or spasm in the muscle of muscle group. A unique characteristic of trigger point is the ability to register and affect referred pain from the other parts of the body.
Myofacial Release: " Myofascial" means muscle connective tissue. Addresses the muscle and joints in three dimensions using pulls, stretches, and broad compressions to achieve movement. The technique can be quite subtle or applied deeply, typically employing long holds, giving the fascia time to melt and release its powerful grip. This work can achieve very profound results in decreasing pain and increasing range of motion.
Pregnancy Massage: specially tailored for the expectants mothers needs. Help reduce stress, decrease swelling in the arms and legs and relieve aches and pains in muscle and joints.

Couples Massage: Two people are massaged in the same room side by side by two different therapists. This can be a husband and wife, boyfriend/girlfriend or same sex couples. This type of massage can include swedish, and deep tissue.

Reflexology: is the physiological act of applying pressure to the feet and hand with specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques without the use of oil or a physical change to the body.
